Kyle Sharamitaro

Kyle Sharamitaro is an accomplished and sought-after professional drummer and singer, deeply embedded in the New Orleans music scene. With a commanding presence behind the kit and a captivating vocal delivery, Kyle blends the rhythmic complexities of funk and New Orleans brass band music with the infectious appeal of pop and the improvisational essence of jazz.

Kyle’s musical path began in St. Louis, Missouri, where blues, jazz, and old-school rock-n-roll first shaped his sound. Long before his official move to the Deep South, the distinct sounds of New Orleans called to him. He answered, honing his craft at Loyola University under the mentorship of drumming legend John Vidacovich.

A driving force for Sharamitaro has always been music’s power to connect. This vision fueled the creation of The Kyle Sharamitaro Band. Their sound, a direct reflection of Kyle’s passion for funk, pop, rock, and the city’s own musical heritage, has resonated across stages from New Orleans clubs to the Gulf Coast, including a standout performance at the French Quarter Festival. But Sharamitaro isn’t just behind the kit; he’s front and center, singing the songs, penning the lyrics and music for his originals, and often taking the reins to organize and produce the events he’s booked for.

With over two decades of experience navigating the intricate rhythms of the New Orleans musical community, Kyle Sharamitaro is consistently a first call for artists seeking a drummer. His reputation is built on his unwavering professionalism, his positive presence, and that undeniable “pocket” that anchors any groove. He possesses a rare sensitivity to the needs of every artist and client he works with. And, when leading The Kyle Sharamitaro Band, he channels every bit of his deep experience gained from twenty-plus years immersed in New Orleans’ musical fabric to make every performance unforgettable.
